Friday@CCTM: What to Expect

Friday is the big day for CCTM and we hope to see you bright and early! Do yourself a favor and plan on arriving early. Not only will it help with making it through Denver's traffic, but you'll want to enjoy the early morning walk across DU's beautiful campus. The most convenient and reliable transportation option will likely be the light rail, which stops at a station right next to campus. For those people driving, you'll exit I-25 onto University going south, then look for a right on Asbury with Parking Lot L on your left. It's $8 per vehicle, so be prepared with some cash. If all the event parking in L fills up, you'll go back to University, then south to Evans, then west to Parking Lot E. Make sure you check out our conference information page for maps and more detailed descriptions.

Once you are on campus you'll need to make your way to Sturm Hall. If you're walking from the light rail station, head south on High St., turn left on Asbury, and look for the Campus Green (a big courtyard) on your right. If you're coming from Parking Lot L, it's a short distance to the southwest to the Campus Green. Sturm Hall is on the west side of the Green and you'll enter the left/south doors, pictured above.

Registration is conveniently located inside the main entrance and just outside Davis Auditorium, where our welcome and keynote will begin at 8:00. If you're already registered, it will be a simple matter of picking up your conference badge and materials. If you haven't registered, that's no problem -- volunteers will be there to help you get registered and into the action. Registration begins at 6:30 am, so feel free to arrive plenty early and get a good seat!

Instead of a conference app, this year we decided to take full advantage of our website. You'll find all of the schedules and session descriptions there along with all of our other conference information. If you'd like a paper program, we'll have some of those available, too. We'll use both the website and our social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin) to send out updates and announcements, so it will be good to check those throughout the conference. And please, share what you learned and liked using the hashtag #cctm17 and be part of the conversation!

We are delighted to offer a variety of sessions to meet the needs of all of our attendees. The majority of the sessions will be held in Sturm Hall, but don't miss out on the action in the nearby Driscoll Student Center. That's where you'll find our exhibit hall, which is open from 7:00-4:00 on the second floor in the Driscoll Ballroom. Next to the ballroom is the Driscoll Gallery, which is where you can meet our featured speakers and pick up your box lunch between 10:45 and 12:00. If you didn't purchase a box lunch, there are plenty of on- and near-campus options, many of which are listed on our conference information page. You are welcome to take your lunch with you to a session, eat outside on the Campus Green, or find a spot in any of the lounge areas in Driscoll or Sturm.

Our day will finish where it started, in Davis Auditorium in Sturm Hall. At 4:15 you can hear an update from CDE, watch some Ignite talks, and have a chance to win a prize thanks to our generous exhibitors. It all promises to be a great day, and we're excited to have you join us!
