Don’t leave school for the year without making your plans for the 2019 CCTM Annual Conference! In just over two months, the campus of the University of Denver will be alive with hundreds of Colorado mathematics educators looking to Energize, Engage, and Empower themselves and others as they head into the 2019-2020 school year.
CCTM is excited to bring Max Ray-Riek to Colorado to keynote this year’s conference. Max is veteran of The Math Forum, a former secondary teacher, and currently works as the Director of 6-12 Professional Development for Illustrative Mathematics. Max is also the author of Powerful Problem Solving: Activities for Sense Making with the Mathematical Practices.
CCTM is also excited to welcome our two preconference workshop presenters. Sara VanDerWerf, a former teacher and leader in Minneapolis Public Schools and former president of the Minnesota Council of Teachers of Mathematics, will be leading Monday’s teacher workshop. Melissa Boston, Professor of Mathematics education at Duquesne, frequent author and editor, and co-designer of the Principles to Action Professional Development Toolkit, will be leading Monday’s leader workshop.
